Maintenance Troubleshooting Guide

No Power?

Check the fuse box for a tripped switch or blown fuse. If there is no power at all, check if neighbouring properties are also without power. If none of the above resolves the issue then please phone our office or complete our online maintenance request form.

 

No Hot Water?

1.  Is the HWC power switch in the on position?
2.  Have you checked the power box for a tripped switch or blown fuse?
3.  Is the gas meter power switch on?

If none of the above resolves the issue then please phone our office or complete our online maintenance request form.

 

No Water?

If you have no water to the property, please check that your water meter tap is turned on and then call Watercare 09-442 2222. If none of the above resolves the issue then please phone our office or complete our online maintenance request form.    

 

Bath/Shower/Toilet Leaks

Should there be any evidence of water leaking in the above areas please immediately complete our online maintenance request form to have the fault attended to.

 

Lights Not Working

Check the light bulb, check the fuse box, and then if still faulty complete our online maintenance request form to have the fault attended to.

 

Faulty Power Points

Do not attempt to fix this yourself. Please check that the appliance in use is not faulty by trying it in an alternative power point. If it is a faulty light switch, please do not use. Complete our online maintenance request form to have the fault attended to.

 

Oven / Hot Plates

Check if it is switched on at the wall or fuse box for a tripped switch or a blown fuse. If the oven does not work, check that the auto cook button on stove has not been turned on. This will stop the oven from working until the clock time is set and/or oven is put back to the manual setting. If you smell burning, please immediately turn oven off at the wall switch. Complete our online maintenance request form to have the fault attended to.

 

Whiteware

If there is no power to the appliance please try another power point if possible. If the faulty whiteware is listed as a chattel of your Tenancy please complete our online maintenance request form to have the fault attended to.
